U.S. Army Fort George G. Meade, MD. Dec 8, 42 Dearest: - Had a good trip back just a short waite a Chicago got on another plane there that went to D.C. with only one stop at Cinncinatti eat twice once after we left D.M. and after we left Chicago. The first one I didn't enjoy very much I felt pretty blue for my honey the first hour after that I got tough like I am all the time at camp and made it all right. I got to camp about 1:30 this morning the fellows asked a lot of questions I was glad to answer them because they were very good about it. Had a easy day today every one in good humor I went to sleep thinking of you as I do every nite our feeling for each other is so good that it seems that you are in your place every time I go to bed. I hope I can come out of this business in one peace then we will have a lot of time for secrets Hope you had a good trip home tell me about it when you write next time the frost should have been better how did the gas last. We had a good time for four days best that could be because my darling made it that way We had a perfect time all the way thru I don't think the tears about church left any permanent hurt because it was
