U.S. Army Fort George G. Meade MD. 12-13-42 Sat. afternoon Dearest. It is saturday and and we got ready for inspection this AM got all thru at 11:30 and am off till monday morn it is a nice warm sunny afternoon. Bunce & I went over to boom town and eat a good meal got a few things then came back to the barracks it is warm and quiet here now lot of the fellows went on pass but I didn't want to go anyplace I wanted to write to my sweetheart. We had nice weather for our night operations warm and clear nights. we were in pine woods most of the time I got a letter from Anthonys they want me to come to D.C. some time when I have time off I don't know what I will do about it yet. I don't think I can go next week we have a problem. I didn't get a letter today may get two tomorrow that is the way it usualy is around here I have a lot of time to think of my sweetheart and the pleasure we enjoy when when we have the chance to be togeather Hope we have a chance to live togeather for years instead of just days like
