U.S. Army Fort George G. Meade, MD. Dearest: - Another day spent in the army sure is wasting time fooling around Got a Christmas card from Edna & Bill today It showed a little this evening the wind is quite strong tomorrow the company goes out of bivoiac again I won't have to go I am on guard at the main post, I like that job I have been on guard there before I just came from the P.X. got some mound candy bars and a cup of ice cream There are hundreds sick from colds flue and sore throats they have all the sick ones isolated in one barracks they are afraid of an epidemic the hospital is over crowded. So far I haven't had a bit of a cold Hope I can get by without getting something. Soon will be a year since we were married A lot has happened in [12-19-42]
