Meade, MD [12-22-42] Sunday PM Dearest: I got four letters today they were all good ones lot of news and lots of love It was cold in our house until about 3 PM today most of us stayed in bed till about 2 oclock, it is nice and warm now It is bad about Carl getting sent to D.C. before my letter reached him I have to have a letter promising me a job in a 100% war plant before I can apply for discharge. You had better ask Bay if he could get Joe Riley the (supt.?) to send me a letter. you can ask Freddie what to do he knows Riley too Earl knows him too, real well maybe Earl would be the first to ask he will give good advice on what to do. Anyway you can ask Earl what would be the best way to go about it It would be good to talk to Freddie so he wouldn't feel as though we were
