Jan 9 [1943] Dearest. Yesterdays letter was a short one I didn't have much time and it was cold in the barracks. Today we went on a hike got back early it is warm in here now and I have time Got 5 letters from you today and one from Jack, he wrote a very good letter I will have to answer it soon, I read yours first they are good letters I like you to tell me how things are I like to hear it all The clippings were good too sure was a big bric. I want Bileys letter to come to me because I afraid it may get lost on purpose if I dont trust anyone down there if I can get the letter to
