Aug 25 1943 Dearest. I am in a red cross hut a nice a place as I have been in for some time. nice & cool I have been reclassified now I don't know where I will go next, I would have had a chance to come to the states if my application for discharge had not been lost I am on limited duty I may be able to send you an address some time soon I would like to get some news from home if my mail ever catches up. Hope you are getting along all right I think of you always and look for the time I will be home
