Saving...
Continental Hotel Centerville, Iowa October 17, 1941 Dear Lloyd, The second day here. I am propped up in bed writing this to you. I decided you would not get it any sooner whether I placed it in the mail tonight or not because Sunday is coming up. So, I undressed before doing the writing. Otherwise I would stay dressed so I could go down to the desk to mail it tonight. Tonight is bowling night, and if I were with you we would both be busy running the game. When I thought of that I got so homesick, but I guess I must manage better than that. Keep your scores and I'll fix up the book when I come. Keep the enemy's name too if you remember it. Met more local officers today and made one foster home investigation in the country about five miles from here. They have some shale roads, but I have not been out of town enough
