prospector near Cario who was a man from Cedar Rapids! He did not mention the man's name. Miss Wilson, the Child Welfare worker who is leaving, kept me working all afternoon yesterday although we are ordinarily through at noon on Saturdays. She had plans made to move several children in boarding homes, and of course I worked too so as to learn the roads and the cases. I certainly was tired enough to quit when we did and she was still going strong. I won't be idling here, but the job looks interesting. All the people we have met on County business seem friendly but not "laying it on thick". Of course many difficult people have a lot of soft soap for newcomers. Will you remember when my letters come as I would like to know how long it takes for the mail to get to Cedar Rapids. Last night was one of heavy sleeping for me. I went to the Presbyterian church this morning. The church
