Saving...
IT rained so hard here most of the day that they called off the Coal Carnival. I never saw such rain so late in the season and day after day. I have several important calls to make but I can't get on the roads, or if I did get on them, I never could get off them again! The letter you wrote last night was in this morning's mail. Our baby must really be growing to have her own plan pen. Even if you can't get long letters written, a letter is certainly swell to get when I'm sitting down here with 147 miles between us. I wish I could go see the baby with you. I'm watching for a toddler dress for her but haven't seen any cute ones yet. Of course I have 125 kids here, but our baby is different! Betty wrote me a long letter. The second one she has sent, which is a lot for her. She is hopping mad at Ray. I'll tell you about when you come. But she probably won't appreciate Chas any more. So it goes I guess. I get to move into my apartment on Sunday as the present tenants expect to leave Sunday morning. So after church I'll do a moving act.
