this while I wait for Miss Harsch to stop by for me. It is a regular Indian Summer night here and the kids thought we should make the most of the weather. I would have just as soon settled down here alone tonight, but I want to continue in the office get-togethers to be acquainted with the staff so I have to be in the mood whenever they are. I'm so starved now that I'm "chowing" on gingersnaps in an effort to keep the wolf away. Here she comes now. (Later) Weiner roast all over and I am certainly ready for bed. By this time you have gone to the hospital and know about mother's condition. You've probably all ready written me a letter. The Syrian girl who is case supervisor has had a nervous break down. Her Dad and brother from Ft. Dodge are here. The oldest staff person ^ (A Mrs. Deahl)^ here seems to be the only one who can control her. She went up to the Hotel and tore around Sat. Her folks just came today. Mrs. Deahl couldn't find any place for the men to stay as there isn't room at Miss Sears apt and they didn't want more publicity at the
