Saving...
305 West Washington Centerville, Iowa November 24, 1941 Dearest, After all my traveling around this past weekend, I'm again installed at my place in Centerville. The way my letters got shipped off to you, I'll bet you were confused by them or else wondered if I really knew what I wanted to write! you see, I wrote one letter to you thursday morning but addressed it to Centerville. Then Thursday night ^after^ I got back from the exams in Des Moines I wrote to you again. Then on Friday morning I got back the letter that was addressed to you at my Centerville address! At any rate, I [underlined] tried [/underlined] to get a letter to you. It was good to have a letter waiting from you when I got in last night. I was just counting on one being here and was not disappointed. I was concerned about your mother, but knew of course you would let me know if things were not going good. Still one gets a little anxious too. I'm so glad to learn she is going so well. It just doesn't seem right that she is not up and around. Getting taken care of now is the best way.
