Saving...
I don't see what can be causing Bill and Edna to stall in getting over. I should think it would be such a good solution to their problems that they would be eager to get started. I suspect they don't look at things as practically as we do. Maybe they are there by now. If not, I hope you have been able to get someone who is of some account. How did the bowling go? After work tonight I played one line. My score was 73 -- isn't that terrible? We plan to go again soon and maybe we will have time for two lines. Hope I can improve then. Wish I could be your "bleacher athlete" again every Friday night. At any rate I think about it, and that maybe helps! Mother was in pretty good shape. Nobody has time to do much housework, so millions of things needed to be done. She is able to get most of the meals and Tom does the rest. Dad looked lots better. He left Sunday PM to ride with a truck load of odd lot cattle he was selling in Sioux City. For a man 76 years old it is unbelievable how able he is. He never has seemed nearly that old to me. Friday night I had supper in Ames at Maurice's apartment. They have two basement rooms that are pretty good. His roommate is a second year vet. student from Ackley. I knew a lot of Ackley kids he knew that went to Coe.
