The boys seem to get on well and do a good job of cooking. Half way reasonable folks can have a decent time managing that way and it is cheaper than dorm living. All our Institute Meeting were at the Union on the campus. Their Union is more pretentious than the one at Iowa City. The Ames campus is laid out nicer than Iowa City, I think. They had more space to use. Work came from D.M. today that I'm to report for the oral exams 2:40 Friday afternoon. So, I guess I'll have a chance to get a rating now. That makes me feel a lot better than I did last Thursday. Wish I could spend Thanksgiving with you, but--. If you could just get those 147 miles evaporated or otherwise disposed of, that would be really great. I wonder about our conversation about my going back to Cedar Rapids with you, do you suppose you really would want that. When work goes on in the day time it isn't so bad, for the thoughts I can sneak on the side of the problems of work are so fleeting. But at night and on holidays it is a different matter.
