305 West Washington Centerville, Iowa November 27, 1941 Dearest, It is 8:15 on Thanksgiving Day. Three of the girls came over and cooked a huge dinner we had planned and bought cooperatively. My kitchen is the biggest, so we had it here. We moved the table in from the kitchen and set it up large size. It was late when we were through eating then we went for a ride - we were in Unionville. Ever been there? Good company there? A quiet day but good as could be and not be in Linn Co. Tomorrow I have my orals. I don't dread them like the writtens. Will tell you in tomorrow night's letter about them. Maurice is at F.D. now. He plans on going to the International Livestock Show Saturday night and I will return to school Tuesday. Since you like heavy machinery, I'm sending this cartoon. The kids are making coffee now. We will eat pumpkin pie now. We
