I hope your job can be keeping the wheels going around. The chances I can be with you will be that much better then. A selfish statement I'm afraid, but at least honest. And you would be of more service longer doing that. I could do more things better with you - ok well enough on paper as writing stuff is always so inadequate - both for self and public good. Florida coasts don't sound so attractive when raids are becoming a reality. I wonder if Maurice will get to finish his work? Only 2 more quarters now and he'll be done. I hope so as it is so tough to try to pick up the end of advanced science courses if you have left off studying for some time. And as grim as reality may sound, we are in for a lengthy siege in this war. I think it is significant that the president actually discussed the fact that it would be a long haul right from the start. I don't believe in the method of people like dentists who say "this won't hurt [underlined] at [/underlined] all." We must not, can not let ourselves, become downcast and sad but we must glare back at reality. Maurice has had such a long grind to get this for that it seems all the rougher if it can't be done.
