Aug 25 1942 Mon nite Dearest:- You sure sent a fat letter it contained a lot of news. What are you going to do with the months pay the board are going to give service men. We are going out on the range and fire one type of machine gun tomorrow we have been studying for quite a while I am much in favor of you taking the job Miss Hunt offered you it is much better layout then the flop house district. I know you won't neglect mother at all, that is most important now she surely won't be able to be with us on earth
