Sept 16 1942 Dearest:- I'm writing this letter early 22 men in our outfit are going on guard tonite we have cleaning up & resting this after noon we go on guard at 4:00 oclock it is easier than training, they pick the neatest man out of the 22 and he is the majors orderly, the job isn't anything you get a 24 hour pass after the guard is over it is just a deal to make the
