817 - 19th St. SE Cedar Rapids, Iowa January 3, 1942 [43] Dearest, Just a note now. The "company" will be here soon. It is 5:25 and everything is in order. Ardy just dropped by a bit and is good moral support. I've been occupied most of the day but I enjoy it. It would be complete and perfect if you were here. But we'll do this better when you are home. It is snowing today and a lot like our wedding day except that it is only a storm on a little scale. Marian Bruner and Johanna were here for breakfast. I'll tell you more of that too in my long letter I hope to write tonight after everyone else has gone home. Visited Fishers too. Love Laura
