but in the old days the dog had too much importance. There is a new shower starting now and it sounds so tinkling now that I believe I'll go to bed. Good-night, Laddie. July 14, 1942 Did not do much today but wash the dishes in the bugget and the new plates Freda gave us. Took Mother and Mrs Fisher to Robbins bayou north of Ellis Park but then did not catch any fish. There were a lot out trying to fish there but nobody made any noise or disturbance. Mother was gone from home about three hours in all and seemed to stand it pretty well. She was tired and fell sound asleep as soon as we got home and slept through supper. I went to Ray's with your
