2 stuff like that. You've told me so plainly how many bad things there are and how you feel about it. And sometimes I've felt like giving a gloomy report after you'd written of the miserable things. But I haven't done that and I don't expect to because we always have and will continue to try to keep our public face good. And I know thats the way you want things done (isn't it?) without any public report or display of feelings except good ones and if not good at least very matter of fact with an optomistic view to them. Behrends talked a long time with me that day I told you and and he repeated the observation of what good morale you had and how pleased he was to see you looking in such good shape. I know it doesn't accomplish one's aim to tell for even if he keeps the confidence he puts on such a knowing air or confidential way it is worst almost than if he is never cautioned.
