No. (CENSOR'S STAMP) To P.F.C. Lloyd Davis 37420240 6679 P/vv A.D.M.Co. A.P.O. - 600 U.S. Army c/o Postmaster New York From Jordan L. Patrak (Sender's Name) 1847 Wilson Ave. S.W. (Sender's Address) Cedar Rapids, Iowa Oct. 12, 1943 (Date) Dear Lloyd. We were so glad to hear from you, but I won't waste space in telling you that. The model A is the best little pal we have, we don't even drive the other car. As soon as you get back you and Earl & Jordan will have to take on of those grand old rides and hikes with it. We girls will do the hamburgers ready when you arrive back. We let George and Rose use our lamps. They are really getting along swell. I had Elsie [Scoyell?] and kids in while she was home for her vacation. She took Rita back with her to finish her schooling there. Our young daughter Dorie was sick to her tummy the other eve and she told everyone she got sick because she drank a bottle of beer. I hope she didn't tell her teacher that. The two Krebs boys are both married, one lives up here with his folkes. Mr. Krebs invested $11,000, in a bond the other day at a rally. Even John [Cusp?] has invested over $16,000 in bonds. Leo Trachtas have a baby girl. Hazel and Earl were here last night they'd eaten at "Joes". It's always "has anyone heard from Lloyd", that's the headline topic of conversation. We'll write oftener now that your mail is getting thru. Our sincere prayers, Jordan, Ree & family V...-MAIL
