U.S. Army Fort George G. Meade, MD. Sat. nite. Dear Sweetheart: I didn't write last nite because we were moved around camp were moved again today, expect to get moved again tomorrow this camp is a terrible turmoile. The next letter you write put Co.M. on instead of L. I don't think it would be good at all for you to come here it is hard to get out of camp. the noncoms dont even go home on weekends even some whos' home is in Baltimore they do a lot of cussing about it Some of the wives come to camp and stand around out side that is no good I would like to have you near but not that way this is a poor camp. for that, everyone say it is. We are told we will be here only a few weeks maby 5 or 6. About your job I dont know what to say, you do what ever you want or think best to do
