The mixture is then boiled until alkaline, when the precipitate has thoroughly settled it is filtered and when quite dry is ignited and weighed. I. Weight of Al[subscript]2[/subscript](SO[subscript]4[/subscript])[subscript]4[/subscript](NH[subscript]4[/subscript]O)[subscript]2[/subscript] and tube -- 13.9546 gr. Weight of tube -- 12.8164 gr. Weight of substance -- 1.1382 gr.
