Estimates have been made of the quantity of hydroxylamine produced after heating with hydrochloric acid. In one case 0.6926 grams of silver nitrate yielded about one sixth of the nitrogen as hydroxylamine, and in another 0.0644 grams yielded about three elevenths of the nitrogen as hydroxylamine.
