It melts at about 215 degrees, turning dark at the same time. The last step, that of forming phenyl-bromethylamin from phenylbromethylbenzene-sulfonamid, I have not as yet been able to carry out, for want of time. The method used in making the hydrogen and carbon determinations, was that of Dudley, (see Am. Chem. Journal Vol. 10, Pg 433). According to it manganese dioxid, prepared from the nitrate is used instead of copper oxid.
