8 The Etherial Oils are placed under two heads; those containing oxygen, of which the oil of cinnamon and the oil of cloves are characteristic and those not containing oxygen, as gutta percha and caoutchone. All these are to be regarded as Waste Products whether retained in the plant tissues or wholly excreted.
