Fig. 3. same plate shows a petal of the Barberry bearing its two glands: the whole of course much enlarged. The Fuschia affords another interesting example of a nectary. It is hidden from immediate sight at the bottom of the corolla tube. The glands appear to be a series of ridges around the tube, and are greenish in color.
