22. Bryum [cuspiticium?] Linn. The plants of this species are very variable especially in the leaves and the form of the capsule. Plants more or less densely cespitose; with yellowish green, ferruginous, [tomentase?] within, leaves [enstand?], and straight when dry. The leaves [only?] distant small lanceolate, the upper larger, loosely imbricated, ovate-lanceolate, [accur-minate?] by the [excurrent?] costas, all are concave. The borders are entire and reflexed. Capsules oblong [pyisiform?], inclined or pendant.
