29. and here we have a resting stage. When these are placed in a moist place some of them send out a little projection which is the beginning of a new mycelum. IN other species, the outer, dark coat bursts open, and the inner coat, containing swarm spores, emerges. These swarm spores soon escape and act just as they did in the case of the swarm spores from gonidia.
