36. the motile spermatozoide: rather elongated bodies, bearing two cilia. These are formed in great quantities: they are probably nuclei, resultant from successive divisions of the original cell-nucleus. The oogonia also appear as lateral branches, usually very near to the antheridia. They are thickened obliquely ovoid in form, their contents is dense being crowded with chlorophyl and oil drops.
