[page]28[/page] The observatins have not been affected with a weight for different observers nor has a weight for declination been introduced. Pages 30 to 49 inclusive give the observations, showing the stars taken, their declination and the value of the equatorial as reduced from the observed interval. Upon pages 50 to 60 inclusive have been tabulated the observed equatorial intervals also the residuals and residuals squared of the observed values compared with their authentic mean. From the residuals just spoken of the mean error of each arithmetic mean has been found and is shown upon page 61 under E. Each interval
