4 odd sails they have! See that strange, high bow and odd, square stern! See those exposed ribs and that clumsy-looking rudder! How low they are 'mid-ship, why they are only a few feet above the water! And what is that strange coat of arms on the main-sail? What flag is that? The little strangers near the mighty steamer. A puff of smoke from the first, one from the second another from the third and a faint boom! boom! boom! comes across the water: the flag of Spain is dipped to the stars and stripes. A cloud of steam rises in hazy whiteness above the deck of the leviathan and we hear a loud, shrill toot! toot! toot! The colors at the peak flutter down; the giant salutes the dwarf It is more than ship saluting ship
