34 There is a revolving disc in the eyepiece of the sextant provided with colored glasses (red, green, brown and smoked) for use in making sun observations. The instrument has about a 6'' radius. The graduations on the scale are 10' while by means of the vernier (read with a glass) angles may be read down to 10'' The whole instrument is extensively well made and is a good example of superior workmanship. The graduations although very fine are carefully marked and no difficulty is experienced in reading them.
