Here is generally written the condition of the sky and weather, the position of the sextant (direct or reverse) and such other observations as may be deemed necessary. Following this we have two blanks containing the reduction of these observations. On the first are nine columns headed (from left to right); - No., Observed Times, Corrected Times, Observed Double Altitudes, Corrected Double Altitudes, Hour Angle, m and n. Under the latter we have the sub-heads Number and Logarithm. On the second which, but for convenience, might be made a part of the first sheet we have the headings, - Number
