Dividing this corrected double altitude of No. 2 by 2 gives us the observed altitude, 37° 42' 39" which is placed on the proper line and in the right column. Subtract the corrected time from the right ascension (as given on the observation blank), 13h 19m 34.92s - 13h 11m 8.83s = 8m 26.09s which is known as the hour angle. This quantity is placed on the second line of the column headed "Hour Angle" With the hour angle 8m 26.09s we have to label VIII A page 636 of Doolittle's Practical Astronomy.
