Under the head of No., begin at the top and number as many lines as there are equations, 1, 2, 3, 4[,?] 5 etc. Number each equation. Now as every line has its equation the matter of keeping track of all numerical computations becomes an easy one. Remember, each equation has a line bearing its number and the computations involving another another equation should never be placed on it. Everything must be systematized or the computer at once becomes involved in hopeless confusion.
