The number of varieties might be further limited to [underlined] four [/underlined] viz. the [underlined] Dent [/underlined] of which the common field corn of Iowa is an example; the [underlined] Flint [/underlined] which is small and hard and matures sooner than the dent - under this head comes popcorn, yankee corn, ninety day corn, Canada corn &c. -: the Horsetooth corn - the big corn of the Southern states; and the [underlined] sweet [/underlined] corn used mainly as a table corn, also used as [underlined] fodder [/underlined].
