Corn Raising In the process of raising a crop of corn, the first thing of importance is the seed. This should be selected in early fall when the kernel begins to "dent." The largest and best ears should be selected and hung i a protected place to dry. A portion of the husk left on each ear and the ears braided together by means of these husks makes a very convenient way of suspension. They must not be put in bulk unless thoroughly dried.
