The harrow should be light and have the teeth slanting back. There will be some plantlets destroyed, but not many. If there is what most farmers call a good stand, it will bear some thinning. We have seen corn harrowed when it six and eight inches high. The harrow tears out the grass and weeds which have started to grow since the plowing of the ground, besides breaking up clods, and evening the ground.
