I'm talking about the love which inspires missionaries to literally put their very life on the line when they volunteer to go to countries like El Salvador and Guatemala to minister to the poor, feed the hungry, clothe the naked. 

I'm talking about the unfailing love of Mother Teresa, who ministers to the poor masses of India. 

A saintly woman who sees Christ's face in the faces of the starving lying and dying in the gutters of Calcutta.

These are shining examples of selfless serving of others out of love for humanity. 

My friends, you too can be an instrument of God's love and peace by performing similar acts of charity. 

You can change the course of our nation and set it on a new course in line with its christian tradition.

There are many charitable organizations in your community which would welcome your participation. 

If nothing else you can be a letter-writer protesting our government's military assistance to countries which wage an unjust war on their own people.

Tonight when you go home think about what I've said and pray God for courage to change the things you can.
