Minority groups must muster cross section support of the community. To gain attention they have to resort to dramatic demonstrations, protests and demands. At times depending in their frustration and the urgency of the issues these actions are usually accompanied with heated rhetoric, and angry confrontations. These are natural consequences of a suffering people who are driven to desperation and out of their frustration articulate their needs instinctively and logically if not intellectually and with calm rationals. Now grassroots people as was evidenced in the labor movement will remain steadfast and determined in their efforts to obtain social justice because not to do so will mean that their problems and needs instead of remaining constant will increase and multiply making their living conditions and economic situation even worse, so really when analyze and plased in its proper perspective the ultimate answer to their problems lies within a coalition working from a boarder power base from an extended front and involving a greater number of people as a lobbyin corse. As you can plainly see such organizational efforts of minority and other grassroots people is a fulfillment of the democratic principle of self-determination. The right to determine ones's living and working conditions through the democratic process. This is completely consistant with our republican form of government which derives its power from the people. As we well know to much power within our government is manipulated by the economic power of factors
