-3- Once more, we would like to remind you that the time has come for us to decide where we as a branch of the NAACP are going. It is only fair that our new officers be given a chance to effectively re-evaluate our organization, and they must have your views in order that they might do so. Please answer these questions, if you haven't already done so. You may mail them to: Fort Madison, Branch, NAACP 720-7th Street Fort Madison, Iowa 52627 or they may be given to any known member of the Executive Committee or NAACP member-ship body. For your convenience, the questions will be listed again! What would be the best night on which to hold a membership meeting? What could be done to make the work of the local organization more interesting, to you? Would you be willing to serve on a committee? If so, which one? What things would you like to see done in this community which are in the scope of the work of this organization? What suggestions would you make for improving attendance and participation in the organizational work? "I've come this far to freedom and I won't turn back. I'm climbing to the highway from my old dirt track. "I'm coming and I'm going And I'm stretching and I'm growing And I'll reap what I've been sowing or my skin's not black." - from Midway by Naomi Long Madgett University of Iowa Libraries, Iowa Women's Archives
