To Whom it May Concern:

As we all know, the number one domestic problem which faces our country, today, is that of civil rights.  The eyes of the world are focused on America as they wait to see which course, we, as professors of belief in democratic ideals, shall choose as we move to solve our dilemma.  Today, we are more acutely aware than ever before, of the need for positive action soon.  For that reason, we are asking you, and the members of your organization, to write letters to your Senators, today, urging them to vote for cloture and to use their influence to facilitate the passage of the civil rights bill (H.R.715)
