On Saturday, May 3rd at 7PM, in the Junior High Auditorium, JULIAN BOND of the Georgia House of Representatives, will speak in Fort Madison. Admission will be by ticket. Adults $1.50 - Students .75[cents] "Unity has never meant uniformity. If it had, it would not have been possible for such dedicated democrats as Thomas Jefferson and George Washington, a radical such as Thomas Paine and an autocrat such as Alexander Hamilton to lead a unified American Revolution." - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The Annual Region IV Leadership Conference of the NAACP, will be held in Waterloo, April 18-20, at the Holiday Inn. Charles Evers, NAACP Field Director from Jackson, Mississippi, and brother of the slain Medgar Evers, will be the Saturday night Banquet Speaker. DON'T BUY CALIFORNIA TABLE GRAPES! Although many of us have been aware of the table grape boycott and have supported it, we are hoping that many more will join to make this effort come to an end which will signify victory for human dignity and social justice, in the very near future. "Under the leadership of Cesar Chavez, we have begun a farm worker's movement to free us from our lives of social and economic bondage. We ask only the same rights and benefits which the majority of American workers already enjoy. We believe that farm workers should be University of Iowa Libraries, Iowa Women's Archives
