five plunks. Monday afternoon we leave for Eagle Grove, and I shall stop off with Naomi in Kanawha for a day so I'll get into Cedar Rapids Thursday night. I'm sorry to be so late getting there but it can't be helped. My play took up more time that I'd planned on staying here. Anyway I'm skeered to go, but by the time this reaches you the agony will be over and I'll be loving them all to pieces. Julie writes me that there are eight letters from you waiting for me there! I can hardly wait. I had a letter from Macetta the other day, enclosing one you had written to Zim. She seems to be a very sweet girl, but honey, does she pray quite all of the time? Ernest just finished his prayers and at the end of the "Got bless Mama, etc" and after the "amen"
