that you had an idea up your sleeve when you insisted that I visit Cousin Mary Dorr. Julie told me yesterday that you once swore if you ever became engaged to a girl you'd make her learn how to cook from Cousin Mary Dorr. Is that your idea? Really, you should have married a capable Swede girl! Brrr!! Martha and Ernest are talking of getting a cottage at the Palisades for this weekend. I rather think we'll all fall in line. Of course Fred won't be here, and that's a drawback, but on the other hand, neither will you. At least we'd have a swim out of it -- a swim that would beat the shower bath we all had in Adrian. Which reminds me -- you said "please don't be encouraged into anything like duplicating Lady Godiva's stunt -- in my absence. What am I to understand
