The German creed has taught efficiency and unity far surpassing our own. And our own people would do better to express their enthusiasm for liberty and humanity in more intelligent comprehension of the nature of the force we are fighting. If we didn't happen to have allies I tell you it would be fatal for men capable of bearing arms to stand around bonfires burning images of the kaiser.
