real indication of snowstorms. Evidently news travels up much faster and with less censoring, than it travels across, for your prayer for cool weather during our visit here has been answered. Julie thought we had a couple of rather warm days, but goodness! they were nothing to compare with what we had the last of May in Mizzou. She says they had a week of scorchers just before we came, but it's been lovely ever since. This morning we had a long walk, and it was great!! Of course, always having an errand to do rather detracts from the pleasure of a walk, I think, and our errands are always the same old house-hunting! I'm nearly fed up with it. We called on Miss Burton, who has charge of the city gardening. Perhaps you remember her place: it is just across from the cemetary on the Vermin Hill car line, and is so close
