For instance, Mama mentioned to the Fisk person that with our concerts & the musical comedy, we had made about $1000- for the Red Cross. Fisky gurgled and guggled and squirmed and struggled, and jotted it down in her book. She asked me about what you were doing and I told her frankly that I didn't know a great deal of it, and didn't know how much I was supposed to tell of what I did know, but I would tell her what you had written for me to pass on to my Seniors, namely that you had become a member of Gen. Pershing's official family. Just how much that implied, I didn't know, but there comes the newsy instinct on the part of Friend Fisk. She wrote wildly
