dream I had last night. The silliest thing under the shining sun, but I was so hurt and jealous that I couldn't shake off the ugly feeling for a long time. I dreamed that a lady in Adrian, (an aunt, by the way, of a man I was once "in love" with) was your aunt. You had come home and the whole clan, including this Aunt, were at a show. Pinned on Aunties waist was some sort of a medal and when I asked what it was she said, "Why it's one Conger won; didn't he tell you about it?" I looked at you for explanation but none seemed to be forthcoming so I said to Mother Reynolds, "I should think you'd be the one to wear that" to which she replied, "Yes, neither of us is closer to Conger than his Aunt." Immediately Auntie said, "Here, Daphne, I'll give it to you now. I've worn it for some time, and I didn't think you'd care for it, having all his frat pins." The way she and you acted simply maddened me and I said in a rather scornful
